About The Opportunity
Youth Engagement Coordinators are members of Public Health’s Healthy Communities team. Their role is to work with youth, adults, schools, youth-serving organizations, broader communities, and systems to strengthen skills, instincts, abilities, processes, and resources to support children and youth as change agents. They will empower communities and schools to meaningfully improve their health. Healthy Communities’ Youth Engagement Coordinators are initiators, innovators, and connectors.
Youth Engagement Coordinators support youth engagement in Health Promoting Schools (HPS) partnerships with Regional Centres for Education. This extends out to the communities they serve.
