Job summary

Avanti Software Inc. is seeking a Part-Time role Monday to Friday, 13.75 hours per week, 2:45pm-5:30pm, at YWCA Kitchener-Waterloo. The pay rate is $27.52 per hour plus 2% in lieu of benefits; unionized position under Unifor Local302. The posting is for an existing, currently open role.

You will support children’s development by creating learning opportunities aligned with their interests and fostering cooperative social behaviours through group activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education and development, usually acquired through a Degree/Diploma in ECE (and registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators), OR acquired in conjunction with other related post-secondary degree/diploma as approved by the Ministry of Education. Example: Recreation and Leisure, Child and Youth Worker, Bachelor of Education and registered with the Ontario Teachers College.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of Early Childhood Education and development.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.

• Intermediate (previously Standard) First Aid and CPR Level-C certification
