Job summary

Westminster Presbyterian Church Barrie, Ontario, invites applications for a full-time Youth Coordinator starting January 2027 to lead and energize our youth programs in a Christ-centered ministry.

The successful candidate will oversee youth ministry, engage youth up to high school in church activities, and coordinate the Sunday school program, reporting to the Minister. Salary is $60,000–$70,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience; one-year contract, renewable.

• Strong Christian faith and commitment to Christian ministry.

• Energetic with leadership gifts for youth and education events.
• Experience leading youth/young adults in paid or volunteer roles preferred.
• Post-secondary education in Reformed Christian education or equivalent.

Contract Position For “Youth Coordinator” Westminster Presbyterian Church, Barrie, ON Passionate about the Great Commission and seeing youth grow in Christ? Become our Youth Coordinator!

We are seeking a person to lead a vital part of our church. This is an opportunity to love, energize and inspire our youth’s growth in faith. Starting in January 2027, the successful candidate will provide direct leadership and coordination for Westminster’s youth programs.

Duties will include:

• Oversee youth ministry within the church
• Coordinate the engagement of young people (up to the end of high school) in our youth group, and wider church activities such as worship and some programs at the direction of the Minister
• Coordinate the Sunday school program

Qualifications:

• Strong Christian faith and show a commitment to Christian ministry
• A strong understanding and appreciation of the Reformed Christian tradition
• Be gracious and have excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating a willingness to work with and take direction from others, particularly the Minister.
• Be a go-getter with high energy.
• Have gifts for leadership with youth, and a willingness to work with all ages to provide support for educational events
• Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience in leading youth and/or young adults in either a paid or volunteer capacity
• Ideally, the candidate will have post secondary education in a Reformed Christian education field and/or equivalent experience.
• Musical gifts would be an asset.

Contract - Full time One year, contract to be reviewed after one year.

Compensation will be $60,000- $70,000 per annum based upon experience.
