The responsibilities include:
Internal contacts include Program Director, Case Management Supervisor, residents, and staff. External contacts include the Ministry of Social Services, community partners, schools, and health professionals.
Reports to the Program Director; no direct reports.
Responsible for safeguarding materials and equipment; does not handle financial transactions.
Work at Gemma House, involving travel, shift work, dealing with emotional residents, physical activity, and outdoor environments.
Post-secondary diploma in Social Service Work or Childcare, certifications (CPR, First Aid, TCI, etc.), a valid driver’s license, police check, and experience working with youth and marginalized populations.
Integrity, confidentiality, communication, problem-solving, patience, decision-making, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and initiative.
Salary range from $20.75 to $31.13 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
