Youth Unlimited Central Alberta is seeking a Young Families worker to empower families in Ponoka and surrounding communities. The role focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and building weekly programming that supports young parenting mothers and their families.

Under the Family Engagement Director, you will collaborate with other staff, develop community connections, recruit volunteers, and engage in donor relations and fundraising to sustain programming across multiple Alberta communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in ministry context or church-related programming.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to recruit and train volunteers.
• Willingness to participate in fundraising activities.
• Comfort working across multiple communities and churches.

Responsabilités

• Support the Young Families ministry through evangelism and discipleship, providing guidance and support to participants, and assisting in the development and implementation of weekly programming.
• Work in the community and surrounding churches to build awareness of the Young Families program. Develop community connections, engage with potential participants, recruit volunteers and develop donor relationships for the Ponoka programming.
• Meet with the Family Engagement Director and Ponoka Team Lead regularly, attend staff meetings, and pray for other staff.
• Participate in recruiting and in the orientation of volunteers. Provide prayer support, resources and encouragement for volunteer staff.
• Participate in fundraising for the Young Families ministry and your personal deputation account by maintaining healthy donor relationships and assisting with all Central Alberta Youth Unlimited Fundraising events.

We are now hiring a Young Families worker. This individual must actively be pursuing a vibrant relationship with Jesus.The Young Families workerwill minister to young parenting mothers and their families involved in the CAYU Young Families program. They will work alongside other Young Families workers. We are looking for an individual who enjoys building community connections and will help strengthen relationships.

Individuals are welcome to apply to any of the nine communities where CAYU serves: Ponoka, Lacombe, Rimbey, Red Deer, Maskwacis, Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Innisfail, and Three Hills. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered. We will regularly explore the needs and opportunities for staff in each community.

Under the direction of the Family Engagement Director, Young Families Ministry Staff are empowered to:
