Job summary

Paladin Security at Toronto Eaton Centre seeks a dedicated Security Guard to perform full-time patrols across the property, ensuring safety and security for tenants, employees and visitors.

The role requires a valid Ontario security license, First Aid & CPR Level C, and strong communication. Shifts are 12-hour continental rotations; Paladin covers certification costs with a 6‑month commitment.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security License is required.
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification is required.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude are essential.
• Post-secondary education in a related field or prior security experience is an asset.
• Pre-employment UOF/MOAB certification is offered and funded by Paladin with a 6‑month commitment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to maintain safety and security.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry to restricted areas.
• Observe site activity via patrols, CCTV, and alarms, and report issues.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances; escalate as needed.
• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors; enforce policies.

Hours: 12-hour shifts (Continental Rotating days/nights)

Job Overview:

As a Security Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the property. This position involves a combination of patrol, customer service, and incident response, requiring professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-traffic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry to restricted areas.
• Observe site activity through patrols and security systems, including CCTV and alarms.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, escalating when required.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity.
• Provide customer service and assistance to tenants, employees, and visitors.
• Enforce property rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Support emergency response procedures, including evacuations and first aid incidents.
• Perform routine security inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Security Leadership and the client.

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Strong communicationskills and an upbeat, professional attitude
• Prior experience in security and/or post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
• Applicants who do notpossessthese certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)certificationprogram prior to their onboardingtrainingto ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOABcertificationis not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of thecertificationswith a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
