IPEX is seeking a Yard Worker at the Etobicoke Distribution Centre to accurately pick, stage, and load customer orders while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires operating a 10,000 lb forklift and using RF scanners, with a focus on efficient, safe yard operations.

The position offers full-time, permanent employment with a Monday–Friday schedule and 7:00am–3:00pm hours. Starting pay is $30.07/hour, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities at IPEX.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely handle and move large, bulky products.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable working with both metric and imperial measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

What You’ll Do

As a Yard Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, staged, and loaded while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely handle and move large, bulky products.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification.
• Experience in a distribution, logistics, building materials, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of loading and securing materials on flatbed trailers.

Physical & Working Conditions

This position requires:

• Frequent operation of forklift equipment.
• Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Working in an outdoor yard environment throughout the year.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and snow.
• Adherence to all safety requirements and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
