Job summary

Stubbe’s is seeking a Yard Operator to manage loading and unloading of finished precast products at our Ontario facility. The role requires safe operation of forklifts and overhead equipment, adherence to OHSA regs, and accurate handling of paperwork.

Occasional Saturdays may be required; the candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a team to meet production targets and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload precast concrete, using appropriate stacking methods.

• Follow loading instructions according to provided paperwork and OHSA/company procedures.
• Place and secure products to ensure safe transportation.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Plant 1 Manager, the Yard Operator is responsible for the loading and unloading of finished products. Occasional Saturdays are required.

THE DAY TO DAY

• Work in an organized and safe manner according to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and company policies
• Operate specialized equipment including, forklift, shunt truck and overhead gantry crane
• Load and unload precast concrete, using appropriate stacking methods
• Follow loading instructions according to provided paperwork
• Use hoisting and rigging equipment according to the OHSA and company procedures
• Responsible for the placement and security of products to ensure safe transportation
• Other duties as requested by management
