Job summary

Stubbe’s is a reputable, family-owned company in Harley, Ontario, seeking energetic labourers for dayshift. You will work indoors on concrete fabrication, loading precast components, and operating cranes and forklifts while following safety and quality standards.

This role is physically demanding, with lifting up to 50 lbs, and requires reading drawings and tape measures. Training and steady, year-round work with benefits and overtime are offered.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read drawings and tape measures (metric/imperial) is an asset.
• Experience as a labourer in concrete is an asset.
• Set up and operate machinery to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete per specs.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete fabrication equipment including overhead crane, forklift, and other tools as directed.
• Load precast concrete components using proper stacking methods.
• Place, vibrate, and finish concrete according to procedures.
• Read drawings and specifications to assemble hardware per drawings.

Stubbe’s started as a small precast company catering to the agricultural market and have since grown into a diversified company offering a wide range of concrete-related products and services.

Positions available in Harley, ON ( between Brantford and Woodstock)

Straight shifts available in our plants

Dayshift 6am-5pm Monday-Friday

Your Day to Day:

• Work in an organized and safe manner according to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies
• Work according to Stubbe’s quality control standards
• Operate specialized concrete fabrication equipment including, overhead crane, forklift/pay loader, and other various (power) tools
• Assemble hardware according to procedures and drawing specifications
• Load precast concrete components using proper stacking methods
• Install cages and pull strand before tensioning
• Place, vibrate, and finish concrete

Expectations for the Role:

• Engage in a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment - similar to a construction site but indoors
• Repetitive tasks that involve heavy lifting, with the ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Ability to read a tape measure (metric/imperial) and drawings an asset
• Experience as a labourer in concrete an asset
• Set up, adjust, and operate specialized machinery to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete according to specific requirements
• Place reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds and pour concrete from suspended buckets into molds
• Adapt to additional duties as needed to support operational requirements
• Able to speak and read English is an asset
