Job description

Winalta Transport has provided hauling solutions for over 36 years in the Construction, Plant, & Oilfield industries, specializing in moving construction/plant equipment and camps.

This short-term contract position is based in Acheson, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with possible weekend work. Candidates must have direct roughnecking experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading tubular pipes with Loader Operators
• Support Pettibone Operators in offloading tubular products and debris removal
• Set up safe work areas with cones and spot for equipment operators
• Help truck drivers load/unload vehicles and handle materials
• Perform quality checks, sorting, packing, and administrative duties

Minimum Experience and Skills

• At least 1 year of roughneck experience and OCTG tubular experience
• Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Skid steer operation certification is an asset
• Safety training in Railway Safety and Working at Heights required

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather and at heights
• Attention to detail, punctuality, reliability, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work overtime, on-call, and weekends
