The role also involves inventory management, keeping service areas clean, and ensuring health and safety standards are followed on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator's license and propane card are assets.
• Class G driver's license is an asset.
• Strong English language skills, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and respond to customer needs in the lumber yard.
• Verify accuracy of orders and handle complaints/returns.
• Receive merchandise from suppliers using a forklift; restock shelves and manage inventory.

Job Summary

The position holder welcomes and efficiently responds to customer needs in the lumber yard in a personalized and courteous manner. They verify the accuracy of orders and handle complaints and returns. They receive merchandise from various suppliers using a forklift. They restock shelves, manage inventory, and monitor for damages. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the yard by keeping service areas clear of debris, waste, and snow, and by adhering to health and safety standards and procedures.
