Job description

Overview

Performs a variety of technical procedures in CT and radiography, requiring independent judgment. May involve teaching students in practical Radiography and CT.

New MRT graduates are welcome! On-the-job CT training available for candidates currently trained in X-Ray.

Travel is a requirement of this position.

Education

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training from an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent.
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (C.M.R.T.O.).
• Preferred: Advanced knowledge in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience in the last three years (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner).
• Ability to function professionally and courteously.
• Strong organizational skills and initiative within scope of responsibility.
• Availability to work evenings, on-call, and statutory holidays.
• Good work and attendance record.
• Compliance with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Commitment to a culture of safety and psychological well-being.
