Job summary

SLB is seeking an experienced Coil Tubing Specialist to join our offshore operations in Atlantic Canada, supporting well intervention activities on production platforms.

You will safely operate coil tubing equipment, nitrogen pumping systems, and related well control gear during live operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on coil tubing field experience.
• Offshore production platforms experience strongly desirable.
• Current well control certification is required.
• Offshore survival and medical certifications (or ability to obtain prior to mobilization).
• Strong understanding of well control principles and pressure control equipment.
• Ability to work in a demanding offshore environment with rotational schedules.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform coil tubing operations in accordance with HSE standards and procedures.
• Operate and maintain N2 pumping units, fluid pumps, and coil power packs.
• Rig up, operate, and maintain strippers, injector subs, and coil quick-test subs.
• Support high-profile coil tubing operations on offshore production platforms.
• Conduct pre-job equipment inspections, function tests, and pressure testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues in real time to minimize NPT.
• Complete job documentation, maintenance reports, and job summaries accurately.
• Communicate effectively with crew, supervisors, and client representatives on status and readiness.
• Adhere to well control and process safety protocols during all phases.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Coil Tubing Specialist to join our offshore operations in Atlantic Canada team supporting well intervention activities on production platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and competent operation of coil tubing equipment, nitrogen pumping systems, and associated well control equipment during live well operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coil tubing operations in accordance with company and client HSE standards and procedures.
• Operate and maintain N2 pumping units, fluid pumps, and coil power packs.
• Rig up, operate, and maintain strippers, injector subs, and coil quick-test subs.
• Support high-profile coil tubing operations on offshore production platforms.
• Conduct pre-job equipment inspections, function tests, and pressure testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues in real time to minimize non-productive time (NPT).
• Complete job documentation, maintenance reports, and job summaries accurately.
• Communicate effectively with crew, supervisors, and client representatives on job status and equipment readiness.
• Adhere strictly to well control and process safety protocols during all phases of operation.

Minimum Requirements

• Canadian residency
• Experience specific to Atlantic Canada / East Coast offshore operations
• Prior experience with major oilfield service providers
