Gardewine Group is hiring a City Dispatch Trainee for our Winnipeg Terminal. Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of City Dispatch, this entry role offers a path to grow within the transportation industry and develop dispatch, coordination, and safety skills.

The position involves coordinating drivers and equipment, communicating across the network, and supporting daily linehaul operations in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

Qualificações

• 1–2 years of related experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Experience with linehaul operations or freight handling is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate drivers and equipment for linehaul operations.
• Communicate with drivers, terminals, and dock personnel.
• Review previous shift activities and report irregularities.
• Confirm bookings, manifests, and Bills of Lading.
• Respond to phone inquiries and resolve operational issues.
• Track incident reports and assist with follow-up.
• Coordinate maintenance and assist with accident response when required.
• Participate in safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring a City Dispatch Trainee to join our Winnipeg Terminal team. Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of Linehaul, this role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the transportation industry.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (days, afternoons & potential over nights)

Reports To:

Manager and Supervisor of City

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate drivers and equipment for linehaul operations
• Communicate with drivers, terminals, and dock personnel
• Review previous shift activities and report irregularities
• Confirm bookings, manifests, and Bills of Lading
• Respond to phone inquiries and resolve operational issues
• Track incident reports and assist with follow-up
• Coordinate maintenance and assist with accident response when required
• Participate in safety initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
