Job summary

Amazon in Belleville, Ontario is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to advance safety programs, audits, investigations, and training across our operations. You will champion a proactive safety culture and partner with leadership to safeguard associates while maintaining productivity.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA standards, data-driven safety improvements, and experience with MS Word/Excel. Availability for shift flexibility including days, nights, or weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR; a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background OR; 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs through data-driven strategies, daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across the organization to drive safety
• Transform safety data into compelling narratives that influence change and drive engagement in safety initiatives.
