Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety initiatives at our Scarborough, Ontario sites.

The role focuses on building a robust safety culture, delivering data-driven processes, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards across shifts and teams. You will drive safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, facilitate proactive training, and partner with leadership to embed safety into daily operations.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • 1 year in EHS-related field OR Bachelor’s degree OR 6 months safety experience at Amazon.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security/personnel issues.

Responsibilities

  • Drive safety programs through data-driven strategies and lead audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
  • Build relationships with frontline associates and leadership to influence safety behaviors.
