Are you a highly organised workforce planner or rostering specialist ready to step into a role where your work directly impacts quality care and operational performance?

About the Role

Sitting within the Operations Performance team, you’ll take ownership of roster planning and workforce optimisation, ensuring staffing levels are aligned with resident needs, compliance requirements, and business performance targets.

You’ll act as the key link between support office and village teams, bringing structure, insight, and best practice to workforce management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage and publish rosters across clinical and non-clinical teams
  • Align staffing with occupancy, resident acuity, and operational demands
  • Monitor and optimise labour costs, including overtime, agency usage and casual pools
  • Ensure compliance with NZ employment legislation, Holidays Act and employment agreements
  • Produce reporting on workforce metrics (overtime, leave trends, labour spend)
  • Partner with Village & Clinical Managers to deliver consistent, fair rostering practices
  • Support system improvements, reporting tools and workforce planning initiatives
About you

You will bring strong rostering and workforce coordination experience, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset, along with the following:

  • Experience in rostering, workforce coordination or scheduling (ideally within healthcare, aged care or 24/7 environments)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Solid understanding of NZ employment legislation and Holidays Act requirements
  • Intermediate–advanced Excel skills and experience with rostering or workforce systems
