What you get to do:
  • Lead the development and execution of workforce planning strategies aligned with project schedules, operational priorities, and production targets
  • Collaborate with supervisors, foremen, and project leadership to establish daily, weekly, and long-range workforce requirements and productivity goals
  • Develop and standardize workforce planning templates, tools, and processes, including labor forecasting, crew optimization, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and performance tracking
  • Coordinate manpower requirements and collaborate with resource coordinators, recruitment teams, and operations to ensure workforce availability and utilization efficiency
  • Review and validate workforce plans, schedules, and staffing forecasts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project objectives
  • Lead workforce execution planning with field supervision to support efficient deployment of personnel and maintain operational continuity
  • Monitor workforce performance, labor utilization, and productivity metrics, providing recommendations and corrective actions to leadership teams as required
  • Coordinate workforce planning activities across operations, project controls, field supervision, quality assurance, and other planning groups to ensure integrated project execution
  • Analyze workforce demands and adjust staffing plans, schedules, and labor strategies in response to changing operational requirements and project priorities
  • Conduct workforce planning reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance planning effectiveness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce planning systems, reporting, and operational processes
  • Perform additional leadership and planning responsibilities as required to support project and organizational objectives
What we’re looking for:
  • Post-secondary education required; background in construction management or project management an asset
  • Completion of Construction Safety Training Systems training (CSTS)
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience
  • Supervisory/management experience desired (2 years or more)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and scheduling reports
  • Previous scheduling experience beneficial
  • Journeyman Ticket in Steamfitter-Pipefitter or Ironworker is advantageous
  • Foreman and General Foreman experience considered a plus
  • Current CSTS certification required
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Dedicated team player with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) required
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, JD Edwards Enterprise, ProjectWise, and 3D Modeling beneficial
  • Pre-access testing mandatory
