The Opportunity

The HR Technology Team is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Workday Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on Workday modules related to Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience in these areas and will contribute to optimizing and maintaining our Workday system to meet organizational needs.

What you’ll do

  • Proactively analyze, design, and implement solutions within Workday, focusing on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules
  • Serve as the primary liaison between HR, IS, and business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into actionable Workday configurations
  • Manage, launch one-time events, and action administrator tasksin Workday
  • Uncover unrealized opportunities, value and potential within Workday
  • Provide input for process improvement and system optimization to enhance user experience across the Workday platform
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiency and system improvements, adopting a product-driven mindset to optimize Workday's functionality
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation of HR technology configurations, integrations, and business processes
  • Offer guidance and training to end-users, ensuring proper utilization, adoption and understanding of Workday functionalities
  • Participate in regular system updates and testing to ensure seamless functionality and alignment with organizational changes
  • Manage, prioritize and plan backlog of HR technology enhancements, initiatives, and projects in alignment with organizational strategy and goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Workday systems, focusing on Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong functional knowledge in payroll compliance, absence management policies, and time-tracking practices
  • Experience presenting data and ideas effectively across various audiences, from technical teams to leadership teams
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement and a proactive approach to data integrity and exploring Workday’s evolving features

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Pro certifications in Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking are highly desirable
  • Experience supporting SAP CATS time management tool
