Job summary

Kognitiv Inc. is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant/Architect to partner with clients across Post-Production and AMS environments, transforming payroll processes, solving complex challenges, and delivering value from Workday investments.

You will architect and configure solutions, lead requirements sessions, and mentor team members while maintaining a remote-first work approach with limited travel.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years leading Workday deployments or Payroll configuration.
  • Strong analytical and client-facing consulting skills.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards and calculated fields in Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and configure Workday Payroll solutions including security and reports.
  • Lead client sessions to capture requirements and propose improvements.
  • Troubleshoot data, logic, and configuration issues with clear action plans.
  • Deliver documentation and transfer knowledge to client teams.

What You’ll Do (Your Impact)
  • Architect & Configure Solutions: Design, build, test, and deploy customized solutions within the Workday Payroll module, including security setup, custom reports, dashboards, and complex calculated fields.
  • Drive Client Success: Host collaborative working sessions to gather business requirements, analyze client needs, and offer strategic recommendations or process improvements that align with Workday best practices.
  • Troubleshoot & Optimize: Conduct root-cause analysis on data, processes, business logic, and configuration issues, developing clear corrective action plans.
  • Partner & Knowledge Transfer: Guide client teams through testing, deliver documentation, and empower stakeholders to take full advantage of their Workday footprint.
  • Collaborate & Mentor: Work alongside internal peers on fast-paced, multi-client engagements while coaching newer team members in your areas of expertise.
What We’re Looking For
  • Workday Expertise: 3+ years of experience leading Workday deployments, supporting Post-Production/AMS Services, or managing Workday Payroll as an end‑user client.
  • Technical Mastery: Proven ability to configure Workday Payroll and Security, as well as build Custom Reports, Dashboards, and Calculated Fields.
  • Consulting & Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communicator who can facilitate workshops, present solutions to business leaders, and create user‑friendly technical documentation.
  • Agility & Independence: Comfortable prioritizing conflicting demands across multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical Mindset: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a curious approach to continuous skill‑building.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 5% per year as needed.
