Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Workday Application Engineer to support a large retail client within the People & Culture Technology team. You will design, configure, implement, and support Workday solutions across the platform, partnering with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Workday engineering experience across configuration, business processes, security, reporting, integrations, and production support,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of enterprise application experience with strong hands-on Workday HCM experience.
• Strong Workday configuration experience including business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, reporting, and tenant configuration.
• Workday Recruiting implementation/configuration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Workday security configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting complex Workday issues across configuration, security, data, business processes, and integrations.
• Understanding of Workday integrations, APIs, data flows, and downstream system dependencies.
• Experience taking Workday changes through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, deploy, and support solutions across the Workday platform.

• Configure and troubleshoot Workday security and access.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Workday solutions.
• Support Workday integrations and assess downstream impacts across systems, data flows, security, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot complex Workday configuration, security, data, integration, and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support Workday releases, regression testing, deployments, and production validation.
• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, and P&C stakeholders to assess requirements, dependencies, and technical complexity.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and maximize native Workday capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation for configuration, integrations, dependencies, and support requirements.

The team is particularly interested in candidates with Workday Recruiting and/or Workday Adaptive Planning experience due to upcoming initiatives.
