Job summary

American Tall is seeking a driven Merchandiser/Buyer to own the women’s assortment from concept through lifecycle. You will translate customer insight, market intelligence, and category performance into commercially viable assortments and seasonal buys.

Collaborate with Planning, Design, Sourcing, Product Development, Production, Marketing, and E-commerce to define what we sell and where to invest. The role requires deep expertise in customer behavior, category management, and retail math, with

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, merchandising and/or planning, preferably womenswear.
• Strong understanding of assortment strategy and category management.
• Knowledge of retail math, pricing architecture and financial decision-making.
• Ability to translate data into commercial recommendations and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Build seasonal womenswear assortments across categories and define product depth, style mix and customer needs.
• Analyze sales, sell-through, returns, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Own the seasonal buying process and execute buys within budgets.
• Develop fabric platform strategy and apply opportunities within programs.
• Define pricing architecture and customer-focused pricing ladders.
• Provide complete commercial direction through product briefs before development.
• Collaborate with Design, Sourcing, Marketing and E-commerce to align on assortment and launches.
