Job summary

ANDRITZ Canada is seeking a wiring technician to install and wire parts and equipment in our electrical cabinets in Chambly, following engineering drawings and CSA/UL standards. You will work on hydroelectric power plant projects in our workshop and participate in final verifications before installations.

Ideal candidates have a DEP in electromechanics or equivalent, good manual dexterity, and the ability to read schematics and drawings.

• Good manual dexterity.

• Versatility, responsibility, autonomy, deadlines and quality, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install parts and equipment in the electrical control box according to the engineering drawings.

The wiring technician will install and wire parts and equipment in our electrical cabinets according to engineering drawings. All in compliance with CSA/UL standards and customer requirements. We manufacture custom panels in our Chambly workshop. This position reports to the Production Manager.

What will you do?

• Install parts and equipment in the electrical control box according to the engineering drawings;
• Install the cabling linking the various components and equipment used for protection and control in hydroelectric power plants;
• Carry out verifications according to CSA/UL standards before final inspection and installation in plants or industries.
