Job summary

Robertson Electric Wholesale, part of the Sonepar Group, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Hamilton, Ontario. This role focuses on wire and cable cutting, packing and preparing orders for shipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will operate machinery to spool and cut wire, wrap and label materials, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in warehousing, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is willing to train on Reach and Counterbalance forklifts.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of warehouse experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Wire cutting experience is an asset.
• Willing to train on Reach and Counterbalance forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, tie, and place material on reels
• Sort and place materials on racks
• Use and adjust machinery to measure lengths of wire to meet customer specifications
• Feed and thread wire and cable through machinery
• Complete pre-start safety inspection before using any machinery or equipment
• Record count and length information on tags or boxes
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
