Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. seeks motivated individuals for road maintenance across Northern BC, supporting Alaska highways with year‑round work. Applicants should hold a Class 1 or 3 license and be ready for physically demanding tasks in all weather.

The role involves operating snowplows and loaders and contributing to highway upkeep. We offer industry‑leading wages, strong safety training, benefits, and RSPs through the CLAC union, with camp accommodations at remote sites and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing completed successfully.
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alaska highways year-round including laborer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge/signage cleaning, hazard remediation).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Shift work, on-call and night shifts may be required.

You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of the Alaska highways, using various heavy equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required

Compensation

$30.76 - $37.72 per hour This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
