Job summary

WSP is seeking a Construction Supervisor for Winter Access Construction & Environmental Remediation in the Canadian North. You will lead on-site ice road and environmental remediation work across remote sites in the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut.

Rotations are 2 weeks on, 10 days off, December 2026 through May 2027, with travel, accommodations and meals provided. Required: 5–7+ years in construction supervision of civil, infrastructure or environmental remediation projects, plus

Qualifications

5–7+ years of construction supervision experience on civil, infrastructure, mine closure, environmental remediation, or earthworks projects.
Experience with ice road and winter road construction in northern or remote environments.
Strong understanding of construction equipment, field logistics, scheduling, and productivity management.
Experience supervising subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary field teams.
Proven experience managing health and safety programs with a Safety-First mindset.
Knowledge of Canadian construction safety legislation, contract administration, and construction quality requirements.
Experience working with Indigenous contractors, businesses, and communities.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work rotational schedules in remote locations across the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise ice road, winter road, environmental remediation, earthworks and civil construction activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
Promote WSP's Life-Saving Rules and a strong safety culture among workers and partners.
Coordinate daily field operations, equipment, resources, logistics, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
Build positive relationships with Indigenous communities, local contractors, clients and stakeholders.
Monitor progress, productivity, equipment use and costs; identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure activities comply with contracts, specs, permits, environmental commitments and quality standards.
Resolve field challenges to minimize delays and support project delivery.
Contribute to environmentally responsible projects benefiting northern communities and ecosystems.
