Job summary

The Township of Centre Wellington is seeking a Winter Control Operator and Utility Locator to perform sidewalk and road maintenance, snow clearing, and timely utility locating for water, wastewater and storm water services. The role reports to the Supervisors in Public Works and Special Projects.

Ongoing duties include documentation, safety compliance, and customer service. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class G license, and experience in construction or

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in construction or related field; winter control equipment preferred.
• 1 year experience in utility locating operations.
• Valid Class G driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate sidewalk clearing machines and snow removal equipment.
• Plan and coordinate locate appointments and mark utility lines.
• Inspect municipal infrastructure and complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain documentation and reports for locate program.
• Provide high-quality customer service and safety compliance.
