Job summary

Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) seeks Winter Highway Maintenance Workers for Service Area 26 (Skeena), including Terrace, Kitimat, Gitlaxt’aamiks. Seasonal, full-time labour with plow truck operation, outdoor work in cold weather, and team-based safety culture.

You’ll perform snow removal, drainage work, and road repairs, with opportunities for training and career development within a long-standing BC contractor network.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment safely per standards.
• Outdoor work in all weather; labour-intensive.
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence; Class 3 with Air Brake.
• Available days/nights/weekends/holidays; on-call during snow events.
• Snowplowing and heavy equipment experience (asset).
• First Aid Level 1 (asset).
• Effective communicator with coworkers and supervisors.
• Working safely is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clear obstructed drainage, maintain roadside vegetation, patch potholes, remove debris.
• Remove snow and ice using snow removal or sanding equipment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Change snowplow blades.
• Perform maintenance on equipment and plow trucks.
• Other duties as required.
