Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking a seasonal grounds maintenance team member to keep the resort grounds pristine from dawn to early afternoon. You will perform snow removal, basic equipment maintenance, and landscape tasks, working Monday to Friday with early morning shifts; physical fitness and safety awareness are essential to support our guests and team in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G driver's license an asset.
• High school or equivalent education preferred.
• Must be physically fit; able to lift and carry heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, walking and kneeling.
• Experience with snow removal an asset.
• Knowledge of the Resort an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds to the highest standards including general maintenance, landscaping and waste management.
• Performs snow removal on Blue Mountain Resort properties using shovels or snow blowers and applies ice melt or sand as required.
• Conducts ice patrols and assesses hazards to ensure guest and employee safety.
• Records detailed notes on activities and material applications throughout shift.
• Makes basic repairs/maintenance of department equipment such as blowers.

WAGE- $19.52 HR

Shift- Monday to Friday - 5:00AM to 2:00PM

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The purpose of this role is to maintain the grounds on resort to the highest standards, including general maintenance, landscaping and waste management.

• Performs snow removal activities on Blue Mountain Resort property and Resort affiliated properties. Work includes, but not limited to; removing snow utilizing shovels and/or snow blowers, applying Ice Melt and/or sand as required.
• Conducts ice patrols and assesses general hazards to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. Monitors material levels in SOS Bins.
• Records detailed notes on activities and material applications throughout shift.
• Makes basic repairs/maintenance of department equipment such as blowers.
