Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) is seeking a cooperative education/work program participant in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team to create Three Dimensional (3D) models for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program and participate in structured co-op activities. Responsibilities include Quick Look analyses (CFD, Line of Sight, cable length restrictions), recording design reviews, and understanding configuration/change management within the product

Qualifications

• Current student in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio
• Aptitude for working well in teams
• Ability to work independently
• Available for four months, starting January 2027
• Eligible for NATO, ITAR, and FMS clearances in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university student enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company
• Work with a multi-disciplinary teams to create Three Dimensional (3D) models for Compartment and Topside Arrangements for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program
• Perform Quick Look analysis to prove concepts; including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Line of Sight, Cable Length Restrictions
• Conduct meeting minutes for design reviews
• Gain understanding of configuration/change management principles and their application in the product development life cycle.
