Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a full-time Security Guard for the Winnipeg area. The role involves on-site guarding, patrols, access control, and monitoring systems to ensure client property and personnel safety.

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard License.
• Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 1+ years of security experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring safety of property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire equipment.
• Preserves order and may enforce regulations for the site, including personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site through the admittance process.
• Patrols on foot or vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, and unauthorized persons.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client property.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scenes in incidents.
