Job summary

The Wine Shop in Fergus, Ontario is seeking a friendly sales teammate to provide expert wine knowledge and exceptional service in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will assist customers with purchases, maintain shelves, handle cash, and participate in staff training and wine education programs. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Smart Serve Certification required.
• Experience with computer-based point of sale systems and cash handling.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook on Windows.
• Willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure total customer satisfaction and outstanding service for every guest.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide product information as needed.
• Support shipments and merchandising; light shelf/display cleaning.
• Handle cash and balance the till accurately.
• Comply with health and safety rules and security guidelines.
• Be a team player contributing to overall team effort.
