Job summary

Advanced Solutions Technology Services seeks an Intermediate Server Administrator, Windows, to manage and optimize the Windows server environment. You will lead installation, configuration, and maintenance while developing automation and security tools in a team setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, support for cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and ongoing professional growth within a hybrid Victoria, BC work model.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computing Science and 2 years of related experience.
• Technical support experience with Windows Server, IIS, storage and networking protocols.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Understanding of ITIL compliant ticketing systems.
• Experience working in Azure Cloud Environment.
• VMWare virtualization including vSphere usage.
• Experience in configuring IPv4 networking.
• Active Directory, DNS, IIS and .NET Web Development.
• Scripting (PowerShell/PowerCLI) and SCM tools like Git.

Responsibilities

• Leads installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution for server hardware and OS components.
• Assist development of automation solutions for deployment, maintenance, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance server automation strategies.
• Monitor security compliance and perform data recovery procedures.
• Provide regular reports on tasks and activities to team lead.
