Role Description

The Window & Door Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in La Crete, AB. This role involves installing, repairing, and servicing residential and commercial windows and doors, including hardware, seals, screens, and glass units. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing issues with doors and windows, performing adjustments, measuring and preparing materials, and assisting with board-up and security enhancements such as shutters and security screens. The Window & Door Tech will work closely with the locksmithing and glazing teams, follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment, and interact professionally with customers on-site. Occasional emergency or after-hours work may be required to support urgent service calls.

Qualifications

• Experience with window and door installation, repair, and servicing, including hardware adjustments and basic glazing work would be considered an asset.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools, measure and cut materials accurately, and follow technical instructions or drawings.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about security products such as roll shutters, security screens, and window bar systems.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, work respectfully with diverse clients, and represent the company professionally on-site.
• Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift moderate weights, work on ladders, and perform tasks indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites in Mackenzie County and surrounding areas.
• Previous experience in glazing, locksmithing, carpentry, or building maintenance is an asset but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.
