Job summary

Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is seeking Wind Turbine Maintenance Electricians to support projects across Western Canada for the 2026 season. Expect rotation Monday–Friday with long travel, remote job sites in SK & AB, and a 6 weeks on/1 off pattern.

Start date around June 29, 2026, with extensive rope-access work and high-altitude environments. Required Red Seal certification, wind turbine or industrial maintenance experience, and SGRE/GWO assets.

Qualifications

Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification.
SGRE certification (Basic Tech, Maintenance Tech, Troubleshooter) is a strong asset.
GWO certifications (BST, BTT, ART) are a strong asset.
1–2 years of wind turbine service or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract; willingness to travel extensively.
Safety certifications (First Aid/ CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space, CSTS2020) are assets.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems within SGRE turbines.
Inspect and ensure repairs on wind turbine blades are completed to company standards.
Follow SGRE safety procedures and LOTO protocols.
Utilize SGRE diagnostic tools, software, and documentation to carry out repairs.
Work as a team with a safety-first approach and document repair and inspection findings.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Work at heights of more than 300 feet via rope access or suspended platform, in confined spaces and for extended periods in remote locations.
