Job summary

StickerYou is seeking an experienced Wide Format Print Team Lead to guide a 24/7 production crew on site in Toronto. The role requires hands-on leadership, troubleshooting, and a strong background in digital printing and colour management.

You will oversee equipment operations (Epson, Mimaki, HP, and cutting systems), monitor KPI performance, mentor staff, and implement process improvements to maximize productivity and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital or wide-format printing, preferably in a production leadership role.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a production team in a 24/7 environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with wide-format digital printing equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of colour management and digital print workflows.
  • Experience with Epson, Mimaki, HP, or similar digital printing technologies.
  • Experience with Zund cutting equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with RIP software and production workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage employee performance, KPIs, reviews, attendance, and workplace issues.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and make effective operational decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a 24/7 Wide Format production team across multiple shifts.
  • Oversee daily production priorities, workflow, quality, and output.
  • Operate and troubleshoot wide-format printing equipment and manage colour consistency.
  • Train and support operators on printing, cutting, equipment, and production processes.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address attendance and behavioural concerns.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and disciplinary processes with HR.
  • Ensure SOPs, safety procedures, quality standards, and production processes are followed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize material usage.
  • Collaborate with IT, Product, vendors, and other departments to resolve issues.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Wide Format Print Team Lead to lead our 24/7 Wide Format production team. This is a hands-on people leader role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while supporting operators with technical troubleshooting, equipment operation, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in digital printing and colour management with proven people management and leadership skills.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and support a 24/7 Wide Format production team across multiple shifts.
  • Oversee daily production priorities, workflow, quality, and output.
  • Operate and troubleshoot wide-format printing equipment, including:
  • Epson S9170
  • Epson S80600/S80600L
  • Mimaki UV
  • HP R2000
  • UV DTF
  • Manage and troubleshoot colour consistency, profiles, substrates, RIP settings, and print quality.
  • Lead operations of the Zund S3 L-1200 digital cutting system.
  • Train and support operators on printing, cutting, equipment, and production processes.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, software, material, registration, and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Track individual and team KPIs, including productivity, quality, downtime, attendance, and on-time production.
  • Conduct employee check-ins and performance reviews and address performance, attendance, and behavioural concerns.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and disciplinary processes in partnership with management and HR.
  • Ensure SOPs, safety procedures, quality standards, and production processes are consistently followed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce downtime, improve quality, and optimize material usage.

Work Arrangement

This role is onsite at the StickerYou office located at 670 Caledonia Rd, Unit 101, Toronto, ON.
