A leading automotive company is seeking a Wholesale Marketing Manager to join their Customer Care and Aftersales Team in Oshawa. This hybrid role involves managing incentives for wholesale dealers and developing marketing strategies for Powertrain products. The ideal candidate will excel in project management, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a foundation in market analysis. This position not only supports dealer objectives but also aids in fulfilling company goals while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum.
The Wholesale Marketing Manager works to bring programs to the wholesale market. As a member of the Customer Care and Aftersales Team, the Wholesale Marketing Manager works closely with Product Managers to manage incentives for wholesale Dealers. The programs offer better value to customers while supporting the goals of GMCC. The Wholesale Marketing Manager also regularly communicates with wholesale Dealers to ensure their needs are met and to adjust programs as required.
Responsibilities
Develop marketing concepts and opportunities with wholesale Dealers for Powertrain products
Monitor Wholesale Program results
Integrate Field and Customer input into development of programs & pricing by the Product Program Development team (PPD)
Develop & execute Performance Parts marketing strategy
Provide Canadian content requirements for the Performance Parts Catalogue to PPD
Integrate the Collision “Go-To-Market” portfolio into Wholesale Program
Monitor Collision Sales and develop countermeasures where applicable
Integrate Field and Customer input into the development of programs and pricing
Develop and Cultivate Industry Contacts
Drive dealer participation in Wholesale Programs
Gather Dealer/Field Requirements
Provide performance reports to identify opportunity Dealers
Identify opportunities to expand the National Fleet Maintenance Program
Support and expand Collision Repair Network
Leverage B2B Platforms to increase wholesale sales
Liaise with both internal and external partners to identify opportunities to leverage current the B2B platforms as well develop and launch new capabilities
Develop marketing programs to increase engagement with platforms
Establish business requirements and define Canadian business model for new platforms
Qualifications
Post Secondary Education required.
Project Management Experience is an asset
Previous Vendor experience
Provide ongoing Dealer performance updates and define ‘opportunity dealers’
Liaise with U.S. Marketing Teams and Finance group
Provide Global Connect “authoring” capabilities for the GM Parts Marketing group
Dealer contacts as required
Gather market and product intelligence for all responsible products
Coordinate and host monthly field calls with Vendor
