Averaging Agreement: Overtime is under Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Continental Nights (1800-0600 hrs.)

Pay Rate: $21.59

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
• Ensure all standing orders and scheduled activities are carried out each shift.
• Ensure site staff adhere to Paladin Security and hospital policies and procedures.
• Plan and implement shift work schedules.
• Ensure all security guards receive mandatory training.
• Motivate staff and recognize outstanding performance.
• Discipline staff when necessary and document appropriately.
• Manage attendance and perform security audits.
• Document and investigate security incidents and complaints.
• Communicate concerns/issues with the Client Service Manager.

Requirements:

• At least one year of security experience in a team lead role preferred.
• Post-secondary education in law enforcement/security from a recognized college preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
• IAHSS certification is an asset.
• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Immunization records including MMR, Varicella, and two TB tests.
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
• Authorized to work legally in Canada.
