Job summary

Nature's Fare Markets in Vernon, BC, seeks a Wellness Team Member (Vitamins & Beauty) to educate customers on the benefits of vitamins and supplements, and natural beauty products, tailoring recommendations to individual health goals.

You will participate in product trainings, help customers discover the best options, and contribute to inviting displays in a fast-paced retail environment. This role emphasizes service, knowledge, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of vitamins and supplements (certification preferred).
• Experience in vibrant customer service environment.
• Service-minded and retail/food service experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly at wellness department and build meaningful connections.
• Assist customers with identifying needs and recommend products to meet goals.
• Participate in regular product knowledge trainings to stay informed.
• Explain treatment plans and suggested add-ons to support customer goals.
• Create attractive, organized displays to engage shoppers.
• Be a supportive team player and have fun while helping others on their wellness journey.

Regular Store Hours:

Mon - Sat 8:00am - 8:00pm
Sun 9:00am - 7:00pm

WELLNESS TEAM MEMBER (VITAMINS & BEAUTY)

As part of our Wellness team, you promote healthy choices by educating our customers on the benefits of vitamins and supplements and natural health and beauty products, making recommendations based on specific needs, and assisting customers discover a holistic view to health. As a product knowledge expert, you know how to help customers understand what combination of vitamins and supplements work best for them to achieve their short-term and long-term health goals. In addition, an interest and background in natural beauty products including make up and skin care will add toyour success when assisting customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Create a comfortable and inviting space by giving a warm "hello!" to our customers as they approach our wellness department for support. We like building meaningful connections with our new and regular customers and this is an important first step.
• Assist customers with their specific needs-asking them questions to learn more about what their journey looks like and providing suggestions on how best to meet their goals.
• Although you may already have an impressive background in vitamins and supplements, you will be able to participate in regular product knowledge trainings so you're always prepared to answer questions and provide informed recommendations.
• We understand wellness is a journey which is why we explain the basics with our suggested treatment plan and recommended add-ons that may complement and support our customers' goals.
• Use your creativity and eye for detail to make attractive and organized displays.
• In other words, you will help others on their journey of wellness, share your knowledge on our amazing products, be a great team player and have fun!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong knowledge of vitamins and supplements (certification preferred)
• Knowledge and passion for beauty and skin care products is a plus, but not needed.
• You are service minded with experience working in a vibrant customer service environment.
• A desire to deliver great service in the retail and food service industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and desire to contribute to people's health and wellbeing
• Ability and desire to confidently lead by example and contribute to a positive, supportive working environment
