Job summary

Liburdi Turbine Services in North America is seeking a full-time Welding Technologist/Technician. The role involves regular travel within North America and internationally—at least 50% of the time—and typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

You will develop welding techniques, operate high-precision robots for GTAW, PAW, Variable Polarity PAW and LASER welding, and document welding parameters.

Qualifications

• College level education required.
• Technician or Technologist Welding Diploma required.
• 1-2 years' experience in welding preferred (co-op accepted).
• Knowledge of metallurgy is an asset; FANUC programming is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop welding techniques and procedures.
• Utilize high-precision robots with GTAW, PAW, VP-PAW and LASER welding power supplies.
• Develop weld programs for turnkey welding solutions.
• Prepare and set up weld test coupons.
• Monitor welding process and adjust for quality and safety.
• Weld materials like titanium and nickel- or cobalt-based alloys.
• Document welding parameters and results.
• Work with customers to demonstrate our technology.
