Job summary

Magna International in St. Thomas, Ontario, seeks a Welding Engineering Coordinator to drive weld process development, ensure customer quality, and lead new project launches. You will manage weld drawings, PFMEA, tooling reviews, and PPAP packages while applying COSMA standards.

You will work with Gas Metal Arc, Spot, Nut, and Laser Welding and bring practical robotics experience. This is a full‑time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of Welding Technologist/Technician course (2+ years) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years in Automotive Field as Welding Engineering Coordinator or equivalent.
• Experience with Gas Metal Arc, Spot, Nut and Laser Welding.
• Practical experience with industrial robots.
• Understanding of PPAP requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Formet and Customer quality requirements are met through weld development.
• Lead the launch of new welding projects and ensure COSMA standards.
• Create and control weld drawings; manage PFMEA and tool reviews.
• Troubleshoot weld systems and robotic equipment to resolve issues.
• Generate Weld PPAP packages and participate in audits.
