Job description

Job Title: Welding Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer - MIG TIG

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom-built metal fabricated parts, specializing in ASME and CWB standards. We are seeking a Welding Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer based in the Kitchener - St. Mary’s - Stratford, ON area.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve welding job orders and processes.
  2. Write and revise welding instructions, SOPs, and best practices in compliance with ASME, ISO, and other regulations.
  3. Provide technical guidance to welders, ensuring proper welding parameters are followed.
  4. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on deviations and implement corrective actions.
  5. Monitor safety and mentor welders to enhance their performance.
  6. Oversee and guide MIG, TIG, robotic, and other welding processes.
  7. Perform testing using PT, RT, and other NDT methods.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW.
  2. Proven experience in writing welding instructions (must have).
  3. Experience in conducting RCA using DMAIC, Lean methodologies.
  4. Diploma as Welding Technologist, degree in Welding Engineering, or similar (highly preferred).
  5. CWB Level 2 certification (highly preferred).
  6. Strong communication skills in English are a must.
  7. Clear criminal background check required.
Additional Information:

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position requiring 5 days a week at the manufacturing facility. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 plus benefits. Candidates already residing in KW – St. Mary’s, Stratford, ON with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
