Job summary

SPS West is seeking a full-time Welder/Fitter to support in-house fabrication of industrial equipment and assemblies. This hands-on, production-focused role requires strong TIG and MIG welding skills across carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Journeyman certification is not required; demonstrated skill, reliability, and pride in workmanship are essential. Responsibilities include welding on multiple materials, reading drawings, fabricating assemblies, and maintaining high-quality welds

Qualifications

• Strong TIG and MIG welding experience in a shop or industrial setting.
• Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Fit, tack, and weld parts based on drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Fabricate small to medium-sized assemblies, frames, enclosures, and custom components.
• Maintain weld quality to internal standards (appearance, penetration, consistency).
• Work collaboratively with shop leads, engineers, and other trades.
• Assist with general fabrication tasks (cutting, grinding, drilling, assembly).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow shop safety procedures and quality expectations.
