Job summary

EagleCraft Boats Inc. in Campbell River, BC, designs and builds custom aluminum boats with a team of about 30 full-time staff. The company has produced over 800 vessels ranging from pleasure crafts to commercial work boats.

Multiple openings due to expansion, you will weld, fabricate and assemble hull components, read drawings, and follow safety regulations while contributing to a family-owned business that values hands-on craftsmanship and career progression.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MIG welding, pulse experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products.
  • Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools.
  • High attention to detail to achieve quality standards.
  • Ability to read blue prints/drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts.
  • Preparation of components for welding.
  • Sub-assembly of parts including welding.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce hazards.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • MIGaluminum welding and hull/ vessel construction;
  • Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts;
  • Preparation of components for welding ;
  • Sub-assembly of parts including welding;
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards;
  • Follow all applicable Eaglecraft Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Qualifications

  • 2-3years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products;
  • Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools;
  • High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards;
  • Ability to read blue prints/ drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • 18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
  • Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels;
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
  • Noticeable pressure from deadlines,accuracy or similar demands exists.
