• NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – A willingness to learn as we will provide necessary training on tool usage and build processes.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or boat building is an asset, but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and competency with hand and power tools are assets but not required.
• High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Routers and Hydraulic Brake Presses (Cutting & Forming department).
• Weld, fabricate, and pre-drill options into aluminum hulls (Welding department).
• Prepare boats for painting through media blasting, buffing, sanding, grinding processes (Paint Prep department).
• Paint boats (Paint department).
• Assemble and install various components and systems into boats (Assembly department).
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the build process (all departments).
• Follow all applicable KingFisher Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.

KingFisher Boats is looking to add full-time and part-time production workers in our various production departments. These opportunities do not require previous experience in production work as we are looking for good people to add to a team-first environment.

What will you do?

• Various opportunities in all stages of production. Each of the points
• Operate CNC Routers and Hydraulic Brake Presses (Cutting & Forming department);
• Weld, fabricate, and pre-drill options into aluminum hulls (Welding department);

• Painting of boats (Paint department);

Working Conditions

• Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Exposure to factors such as high noise levels, temperature variations, fumes, and moving machinery which may cause periods of discomfort.
• Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed.
• Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.

Schedule Options

• Day Shift - Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday depending on department.
• Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday – 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
• Flexible part-time arrangements may be available.
