Job summary

Aerotek in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Welder/Fabrication professional with 3+ years of fabrication and welding experience to join a busy custom job shop. You will perform TIG, MIG and flux core welds, read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and contribute to on-time production while supporting assembly, testing and installation as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fabrication and welding experience (red seal is an asset).
• Experience with basic layout and fitting.
• Strong experience with fabrication and welding in a custom job shop.
• Proficiency with all fabrication hand tools (drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, levels, etc.).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and installation knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and flux core welding to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Operate fabrication equipment (shears, ironworkers, drills, plasma, torches).
• Use templates and gauges to ensure accuracy of parts and joins.
• Safely operate cranes, rigging, and lift trucks.
• Support production targets and continuous improvement with Supervisors/Leads.
• Complete required documentation and follow SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with assembly, testing, shipping, and installation as needed.
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
