Job summary

FTAI Aviation is seeking skilled welders for aerospace component work in our Montreal area facility. You will perform TIG welding and plasma spray on titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel parts, reading precise drawings and ensuring AS9100/FAA/EASA regulatory compliance. Overtime and shift premiums may apply, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding, plasma spray, or aerospace component welding.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace alloys: Titanium, Inconel, stainless steels.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and repair instructions.
• Certification in welding techniques (AWS, CWB or equivalent) is a plus.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
• Solid attention to detail and commitment to aerospace-grade quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding and plasma spray coatings on aerospace components.
• Work with high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloys (Titanium, Inconel, Stainless Steel).
• Inspect, prepare, and weld engine components, casings, and critical structural elements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and aerospace repair work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and EASA aerospace regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and inspectors to achieve high repair quality.
• Maintain 5S and safety protocols in the welding area.

Compensation

The starting salary range for this position is $30.73 to $43.47 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training, time, and career progression, hourly compensation may increase to a maximum of $51.21. Employees working the second shift receive an additional shift premium of $1.15 per hour. This position is also eligible for overtime.
