Job summary

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited in Sidney, BC, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on welding, brazing, fixture creation, and planning weld operations to ensure timely, budget-conscious production.

Responsibilities include welding per MIL-W-1595 and PPS specs, brazing to PPS 37.07, and maintaining safety and quality standards on the shop floor. Training junior staff and supporting continuous improvement are also key duties.

Qualifications

• Canadian provincial Welder Level (B) certificate, ITAC or inter-provincial (B) welder equivalent, or equivalent ticket from another country as approved by the Training and Apprenticeship Committee, is considered an asset.
• Able to assist in training, directing and supervising Junior employees.
• Able to work safely and efficiently with a minimum of supervision.

• Any other duties assigned
