Job summary

Équipements Nordiques in Sept-Îles is seeking a welder to interpret welding process specifications, read blueprints, and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment on site.

You will inspect welds to ensure they meet standards, use brakes and shears for metal shaping, and perform minor repairs on welding equipment. The ideal candidate has a secondary school graduation certificate and 2–3 years of experience, is organized and a team player, and can work at the physical location.

Qualifications

• High school graduation is required or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of welding experience is preferred.
• On-site work at the physical location is required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications.
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
