Welder Position Summary: Razor Contract Manufacturing Ltd. is located at 31 Whitebone Way, Saint John, NB E2J 4Y3, and is looking to fill the permanent full-time position of Welder. Individuals in this role must be comfortable working in a physically demanding position while operating various equipment. This role is responsible for completing a variety of welding duties for Razor Contract Manufacturing Ltd.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, manuals, and processes.
• Measure in metric and imperial.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts.
• Lay out reference points and patterns for templates.
• Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal parts or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal articles with solder.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
• May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications.
• Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor the robotic welding production line.
• Always observe stipulated safety codes.
• Communicating with coworkers to understand project specifications, as needed.
• Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
• Expedite projects by carrying materials, sweeping, and cleaning up as directed.
• Uphold high safety standards.
• Thrive in a busy work environment and demonstrate initiative in meeting project goals.
• Ability to learn new tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift Certification is considered an asset.
• Previous welding experience is considered an asset.
• In-house training is provided.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to multi-task and determine priorities.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.

Pay, Benefits & Hours:

• $29.00 per hour.
• Dental, Medical and Health benefits available after completing a 6-month probationary period.
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
